Raeburn Chardonnay Sonoma County 2022, a truly exceptional wine that tantalizes the senses with its rich, complex fruit tones and delicate balance of oak and vanilla. Every sip of this wine reveals a new layer of flavor, from the crisp notes of pear and Gravenstein apple to the luscious sweetness of nectarine. The wine is carefully crafted from 100% Chardonnay grapes that are barrel fermented and aged sur lie for 9 months in a combination of French and Hungarian oak, with 50% new oak to impart a subtle but distinct smoky flavor. The result is a wine that perfectly balances the richness of the fruit with the complexity of the oak, creating a truly elegant and satisfying finish.

The Russian River Valley is cooled by daily fog off the Pacific Ocean located a few miles to the west. Nearly every evening, fog flows up the Russian River channel and east through the Petaluma Gap producing diurnal temperature swings ranging from 35° to 40° F. Nature’s air conditioning allows our Chardonnay to ripen slowly while retaining its bright, natural acidity.

Raeburn is an Olde English term which means the river where one goes to drink.
